About the National Coordinating and Evaluation Center
The primary goals of the National Coordinating and Evaluation and Center are to:
  1. Build capabilities and enhance performance of the Sickle Cell Disease Newborn Screening Program at the system, provider and patient/family level,
  2. Widespread dissemination and adoption of enhanced approaches to treatment and education of individuals living with sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait,
  3. Facilitate the multi-year Hemoglobinopathy Learning Collaborative.

Additionally, the center has begun to develop an overall communications plan and identify key practices for sustainability across the Collaborative moving forward.
